Advance to Sidi N'sir

This photo was probably taken during the Sidi N'sir battle. The British gun positions are 3km ahead, and Kampfgruppe Lang is halted on the mountain road while waiting for them to be silenced.

The nearby Pz.4 has ventured up into the muddy field to offer covering fire for the German armoured column in the valley ahead. But it cannot hit the British artillery which is concealed behind a hill; nor can it advance through the minefield.
