Captured at Sidi N'sir

A 25-pounder gun and a number of British troops are in German hands after the battle of Sidi N'sir. There are several photos of this gun of "E" troop.

A German tanker kept a print of this press photo and wrote this on it; "But this support didn't help the enemy; he had to abandon the front line. The tanks ran right over the defensive positions. Guns, prisoners and other booty were siezed in large quantities." (Doch alle Mittel helfen dem Feinde nichts, er muß die H.K.L. {HauptKampfLinie} räumen. Die Panzer haben die Stellungen überrollt. Geschütze, Gefangene und sonstige Beute wird in großer Menge eingebracht.)
