Thumbnail image: Befehlstiger II

Description

This photo is unclear, but we can see that the turret is that of a Befehlstiger, because it has no MG opening. We can conclusively match the hull to Befehlstiger II of the 505th because it has the same camouflage pattern on the hull side, plus a damaged mudflap. This photo strongly suggests that pattern was created by smearing mud onto the painted tank.

This photo tells us that Tiger "II" had its "bull" logo concealed with a patch of white paint. If this is indeed the same turret as in the other photos, we now know that it has the "thick wide" type of mantlet.
