This future release from Airfix is a reboxed kit from another manufacturer, apparently the "Tiger-I Mid" from Academy. My comments about the Academy kit will probably apply here also. Airfix indicate that they will substitute new decals.
Academy's release was a Tiger with flexible one-piece tracks, no interior, and photo-etch for the engine deck meshes. Zimmerit was not provided but a tool for scribing it was included in the kit.
The model builds a Mid Tiger from the period October 1943 to January 1944. There were a couple of changes made to the Tiger during this time, and Academy didn't explain the options; it remains to be seen whether the Airfix instructions will be more informative. The necessary parts are on Academy's sprues.
Airfix have indicated that they will provide decals for Tiger "308" of s.Pz.Abt. 502, which is exactly the right Tiger version for the kit parts. They also promise Tiger "333" of s.Pz.Abt. 501. This tank is not well documented but may be a slightly earlier version than what the kit builds.
