Modelling Tiger 332

To the home page

One of the decal options in this kit is "Tiger 332" of the 503rd battalion. If you wish to depict it as new, be aware that it didn't originally have any Balkenkreuz on the turret. So you could omit those four decals.

Damage to Tiger 332

Alternatively you could model it in a later time, adding gear such as helmets or the air recognition flag. You could also simulate damage that "332" suffered during the summer of 1943. It had severe denting to its left-hand air filter, as this photo shows.

Clips on Tiger 332

Another distinctive feature of this Tiger that you could add, was a series of 5 folding clips on its right side. They each consisted of a tube welded to the wall, and a rod bent into a U-shape with one leg inside the tube. These clips could fold out from the wall and were used to hold a log.
