Modelling Tiger 122

One of the decal options in this kit is "Tiger 122" of the 503rd battalion.

Damage to Tiger 122

This particular Tiger offers you the chance to "battle damage" your kit. The real Tiger "122" is shown in this photo. Its side skirts are badly twisted or, at the place that I point to, damaged by a direct hit. Also, the crew have made some kind of extra storage box and attached it to the back of the tank's built-in storage box.

Mantlet of Tiger 122

There's also a change that you could make for accuracy. The kit includes two kinds of mantlet (the front wall of the turret). But neither of them are right for Tiger 122. This Tiger had a third kind of mantlet, featuring a broad thick region. You could build up this region by adding modelling putty to part G24.
