Cleats on tracks

This Tiger model has the later, "cleated" tracks.

Cleated tracks

Their special feature was raised ridges on the track surface. These were designed to be no more complex than necessary; the six ridges were alll angled at 45 degrees and evenly spaced along the track link.

But they are not evenly spaced. In this image I have taken a pair and turned it around to compare with the next pair. There is a visible difference in the spacing.
