This "Mid Tiger" kit offers four decal options. I list them here:
Tiger 132 of s.Pz.Abt.507
Decals for this Tiger first appeared in another manufacturer's kit back in 2013. Tiger "132" was unusual: its crew attached a run of track to both of the forward turret cheeks, which are normally bare. They painted the tactical numbers upon those track runs, implying they were permanent.
Takom don't tell you to put tracks there. They instruct you to put the number decals on the turret wall instead. But we have no photographs of "132" without the extra track and no reason to think that its walls were painted with numbers.
Tiger "132" also carried spare track on its superstructure front, at both sides. Again, Takom don't tell you to put any track there. This is a shame, because the heavy use of protective track made the real "132" a stand-out. Since the kit provides two complete sets of track (at time of writing), there is no shortage of spare links and you can reproduce Tiger 132's true appearance.
In one photo we see that "132" bore the usual Balkenkreuz on its hull sides. But Takom do not tell you to place a cross there.
Tiger 2 of s.Pz.Abt.508
It's not easy to say if Takom based these decals on a specific Tiger, because this company didn't use individual IDs. The decals do closely resemble one well-known set of photos of a Tiger having its wheels repaired.
In this case we can see that the real Tiger carried the 15-ton jack while Takom provide the 20-ton jack.
Tiger 11 of s.Pz.Abt.506
This battalion numbered its Tigers from 1 to 14 per company, with the colour of the digits identifying the company; e.g. white for 1 company, yellow for 3 company.
This decal option may not match any real Tiger. I can find no photos of "yellow 11". Although in theory it should exist, it could easily be a Late Tiger rather than a Mid.
Another problem is that Takom's "11" digits are narrow with an outline. Digits like those were used on this unit's first Tigers, in the summer of 1943. Those Tigers were not the same type as this kit builds.
Tiger 342 of s.SS.Pz.Abt.101
We have two photos of this Tiger and, as far as we can see, it closely resembles Takom's model and decals.
