This kit offers optional parts for the hull side vision ports; K2 or K7. What is the difference?
Part K7 has a rectangle embossed on it. This part is based on a photo of the prototype tank. But the prototype didn't have vision ports installed; its openings were covered by temporary thin panels. The rectangle seen in the photo was merely a window in the temporary panel.
There was never any intent to put a window in the finished tank. But Revosys have tooled part K7, an armoured port with a window.
The alternative part (K2) accurately represents the port that was eventually installed on this tank.
For the inside of this vision port Revosys give us part K3. This is guesswork because we don't know what was inside the real vision port.
Revosys put a vision block holder in here, similar to what you get in other Panzers. This is a reasonable guess. But there's a problem: the vision block on the inside does not line up with the slit on the outside.
