Markings
The V-series Tigers were never given to any military unit. Therefore they had no right to bear the "Balkenkreuz" symbol. We don't see that symbol in photographs of this specific Tiger "V1", nor any other Tiger that belonged to test facilities in Germany. The "Balkenkreuz" decals provided in this kit are therefore not appropriate.
Colours
The colour scheme of Tiger "V1" is not certain. We have only three photos of it, apparently taken on two different occasions. In one photo it is outdoors, and the other two show it in a factory setting. There is a mark on its side where some chalked writing was scrubbed off; the mark appears in all of the photos, therefore we don't have any evidence of multiple paint schemes on this vehicle.
The factory photos do strongly resemble in tone some other photos of Tigers known to be in red primer paint. It's also the case that tanks were often annotated in chalk while in red primer.
Colour of snorkel
In the factory photo, the snorkel is installed and is obviously painted a lighter colour than the tank's exterior. The snorkel was probably painted RAL7009, the colour of the engine compartment where it was kept. The snorkel of Tiger 250122 (Bovington museum) was that colour.
