About this detail of the Tiger
This kit has decals for Tiger "1331". Michael Wittman fought the battle of Kursk in this tank. But researchers have not yet found photos of the vehicle.
We could guess that "1331" resembled the other Tigers used by the same unit at the same time. But, at that time, Michael Wittman's unit had two versions of Tiger, manufactured months apart. We don't know which version "1331" was. There are significant differences between them, such as the type of Feifels, and the presence of track links on the turret.
Rye Field (like Dragon before them) guess that "1331" was the later version.
