About this detail of the Tiger
The model provides the toolbox on the rear of the tank, and it is positioned near the side, perpendicular to the hull wall.
There are two thick straps molded on the lid and side of the Rye Field toolbox, linked to supporting bars underneath.
The Tunisian Tigers of the 1st company did not have their toolbox here. It was located farther inboard and supported at an angle. It had no retaining straps. Given the configuration of the tow cables on the Rye Field model, its toolbox should look like this.
Tigers of the 2nd company had their toolbox in a place that matches Rye Field's kit, but they had no straps. The support arms underneath the box were farther apart than the ones molded on Rye Field's part.
