About this detail of the Tiger
These are the eye holes for the gunner's telescope on a Tiger turret. On the final batch of Tigers there was only one hole, the left-hand one.
The first Tigers had a flat mantlet, with small eye holes. But for most Tigers there was a thickened bar on the mantlet at this point. The eye holes were therefore made larger.
The eye holes in this kit's thick mantlet are slightly undersized.
