About this detail of the Tiger
The cupola ring on the Rye Field Models "early" Tiger kits, has some subtle problems.
In a real cupola, the ten bolts on top are equally spaced, the ten drainage holes in the sides are equally spaced, and the vision ports are also equal. This is not exactly true of Rye Field's part. Here, for example, we can see that the vision port glass is not exactly lined up with the bolt above it. These misalignments are visible even with the hatch closed.
There is another problem at the top edge of the part. It has a thin flat lip running all the way around it, as seen here. The real cupola has no such lip.
