This kit provides two alternative kinds of sprocket wheel; part D47, which is used for later-model Tigers and is not relevant at all to this kit; and part D46, which you are directed to use. This part is replicated on the E sprue for some reason.
However, there is a third kind of sprocket wheel that was used at the beginning of Tiger production. It is not included in the kit. Its hub had a machined central dome, as the photo shows. This hub looks very different to the Early type, which has a smooth, more prominent dome covering the entire hub.
This machined hub and the "Early" domed hub were both used on Tigers of s.Pz.Abt.501. But in most cases the photographs are not good enough to show us which type was present on a specific Tiger.
