About this detail of the Tiger
The Tiger's turret was asymmetric, with the left front being broader than the right. Also, its left vision port was nearer the front than the right-side one.
The turret halves in this kit have their vision ports aligned exactly. This is an error.
The kit's turret is symmetric. The front of the roof is equally wide to the left and right of the center line. This is an error.
The consequences of Italeri's mistake are shown on this completed kit. I have drawn the midline of the turret with white dashes. You can see that the bolts in the roof are displaced to one side of the midline, and the gun itself is significantly far out on the other side. Both of these items should be exactly centered in the turret.
