About this detail of the Tiger
The Hachette kit includes details on the inner walls. In this modeller's photo, you can see a round detail on the wall, below the word 'Gasmaske' (at the top left of the photo).
This detail represents the inner face of a pistol port, as you can see in this photo.
But this large pistol port was already deleted from the Tiger's design when the low cupola was introduced, in July 1943. This kit represents a Late Tiger and it should have no pistol port. Indeed, the kit has no port on the outer side of that wall.
This photo, from inside a Late Tiger in Saumur museum, shows the commander's seat as seen from above. (The green paint is not original, and the seat is missing its cushions.) We can see that the wall beside the commander has no pistol port.
You can improve the Hachette Tiger Tank's accuracy by removing this detail from the inside wall.
