About this detail of the Tiger
The Tiger carried a box of spares for the main gun. This box was kept on the turret floor. In an Early Tiger it was at the front of the floor, in an open frame.
Model kit interiors typically represent the frame but not the box. These examples are by Rye Field and Model Factory Hiro.
The box was 20cm by 25cm, which should be the same dimensions as the frame. Its height was 14cm, which is 4mm in this scale. The frame apparently had no strap or other means of holding the box down.
