About this detail of the Tiger
Dragon's Tiger kits were the first to include an accurate loader's seat. The seat had the correct shape and backrest, and it was correctly placed low down under the turret ring.
The seat (part A8) had a slot designed to fit on a tab. It faced to the rear of the vehicle, which is correct.
Unfortunately, somebody at Dragon assumed this was a mistake! Later issues of the 'A' sprue had a modified seat that faced forward. Some of these sprues were sold in Initial Tiger boxes. They also appeared in the first samples of the Late Tiger kit.
If you come across a part A8 that faces forward, simply turn it around. It can't be very visible in your model because the surrounding turret detail is absent.
