About this detail of the Tiger
When designing the decal options for this kit, Dragon referred to all of the known photographs. One photo showed a grey Tiger whose third digit was very difficult to read. The best interpretation was '123'.
The kit's paint guide therefore shows a grey Tiger numbered '123'. But a new photograph appeared in the months after the kit's release, showing the rear wall of Tiger '123'. Its tool storage did not match the layout in the kit. Therefore, the number '123' is not correct.
The tank in the original photo, whose tool storage matches the kit, must be '121'.
