About this detail of the Tiger
The Tiger had two main batteries, located under the floor behind the turret. I didn't find any surviving batteries at Bovington Museum, but I examined the metal supporting frames for them.
These frames are 360 x 550 x 40 mm, and stand 190 mm clear of the floor. They are attached to the floor stiffeners, and are also supported by one U-frame each.
The long bolts in the diagram are for holding the batteries and are 300 mm long, making a total height of 490 mm which only just clears the floor of the fighting compartment.
Below is a 3D model showing the frames installed in a bare, cut-away hull.
