Panzer crew (some of them) had headphones and throat microphones. The microphones were equipped with a switch. For the commander of a Tiger, his switch allowed him to choose either the tank's internal voice channel or the radio.
Whatever its function, the switch was a bulky item clipped to the crewman's jacket. Here is an example (arrowed). Because the leads were short, it was not possible to put this switch anywhere but on your upper torso.
The commander figure included with this kit does not have a switch molded into its torso. There does not appear to be a separate part to represent the switch. You can improve accuracy by scratchbuilding the switch.
