About this detail of the Tiger

Standard Tigers of the "early" and "mid" period had five S-mine launchers, distributed around the hull roof. Each launcher was an open-ended tube on a welded metal stand. The launchers could be removed but the base plates were welded to the tank. The two launchers at the rear corners were mounted on protruding arms.

Academy have provided these five items, but there are errors both in the parts and in the instructions. They don't give you an option to build the tank with the launchers removed (the rear support arms are not separate parts).

Academy's S-mine stand

The base of Academy's stand is a rectangle. But the real item had a pointed front edge. All 5 of the launchers were identical.

Academy's S-mine tube

Academy's launcher tube, part E28, has a disc on its rear end. The real item had no such disc.

Slots in launcher

Academy think that the S-mine tube is the same shape as the turret smoke tubes. They have given it two little notches in its front edge, like the smoke tube. But the real S-mine launcher has no notches here.

Error in step 11

For the launchers at the rear of the tank, Academy tell you to use part E28, and to cut off part of it. But this is an error. The kit contains only three copies of E28, and you need five. The solution is to use part A21 here, because there are two extras in the kit. As a bonus, A21 doesn't have this triangle to cut off.
