About this detail of the Tiger
The mantlet on the VK4501 (the turret front wall) had a notch in its lower left corner.The notch was necessary because otherwise the turret would collide with a part of the hull.
This is a real example. Although it is part of the Tiger (H) at Bovington, this mantlet was made for the Tiger (P) / VK4501.
This is the mantlet part in the Amusing Hobby kit. It doesn't seem to have a notch.
