A relatively thin cable was stored on the left side of most Tiger 1, held by several clips. The type and arrangement of the clips was changed several times during the production run of the tank.
At the rear of the side wall was a group of clips holding the ends of the cable, and they changed position gradually during winter 1942-43 on each new batch of Tigers. At first, the ends of the cable were horizontal and close together.
But in about February 1943, the clips were moved so that the cable ends were splayed apart. This is an example of the new arrangement. (The cable itself, in this museum tank, is not a good replica.)
This is the first "test shot" of the kit. The cable ends are close together in this build. In particular, one clip that should be down near the skirting, is higher up. This layout resembles that on Tigers from late 1942, not those of the model's era.
It's not clear yet if the released kit will allow you to place these clips wherever you like, but if so, refer to photos of the appropriate version of Tiger.
