Tiger crews were troubled by a design fault in the tank's original road wheel equipment. The outer front wheel would scoop mud into the set, which could harden and jam it.
For this reason, it was very common to see Tigers with their front outer road wheel permanently removed. This applies to "Initial", "Early" and "Mid" Tigers. The "Late" type, as we call it, had a different "steel" wheel set.
When an outer road wheel is omitted, its hub is exposed. The hub has a specific, complex pattern of holes and indentations. A distinctive metal locking ring is attached to it.
This kit has no support for omitting the outer road wheels. It provides no parts that represent the exposed hubs.
