About this detail of the Tiger
All of the decal options in Academy's "Gruppe Fehrmann Tiger" are Early Tigers still operational near the end of the war. They have some upgrades such as new wheels or tracks, probably necessitated by wear and tear on the original parts.
The Tigers have not been thoroughly upgraded. Obsolete items such as the rear S-mine brackets are still attached. The clips for the track cable, on the left side of the hull, are still in their original layout.
This photo of Tiger "F01" clearly shows the track cable clips in the Early layout.
However, Academy's kit does not provide an Early cable. The kit contains only one cable, part B17 which is for Mid and Late kits.
As this diagram shows, the Late cable layout is very different to the Early.
