About this detail of the Tiger

Lt. Meyer's Tiger, 1943

Lt. Meyer's Tiger, of s.Pz.Abt.502 in spring 1943, has a similar mantlet to the one in the "Tiki" kit. The kit box contains all necessary parts to build it except for the standard turret bin. No decals are required.

Spare links on Meyer's Tiger

Lt. Meyer's tank was whitewashed over a Dunkelgrau base colour. The spare tracks were an unusual mix of light and dark links.

Standard exhaust parts

You should divert from the instructions by using the standard exhaust system parts, shown here.

Spare track bar

Use this spare track bar at the front of the tank and place track links in it.

Shovel

Instead of part U9, put this shovel on the glacis plate.

Gun cleaning rods

Lt. Meyer's Tiger had a cleaning rod that broke into 6 parts, not 5. Use parts N17 and N16 for the rod segments. Use part D8 for the bases of all the holders and position them to match the top portions.

Starter handle

Open these 2 holes in the bottom of the rear wall and fix part E34 there.

Install the smoke launcher system; omit the front outer roadwheels; and do not install the S-mine launchers. Attach a standard turret bin instead of the kit's bin.
