About this detail of the Tiger
The first 17 (approx.) Tigers were provided with towing cables that were not adequate for towing such a heavy vehicle. These cables were 22mm in diameter and had small "eyes" at the ends. They were stored on the tank's roof with the "eyes" on the engine deck. Later Tigers had thicker cables stored in a different layout.
Dragon's kit 6608 represents some of these initial Tigers. The "eye" pieces provided in the kit are the correct size; compare them to this photo.
However, the metal cables provided in the kit are too thick. Apparently Dragon used the thick cables from their other Tiger kits. These metal wires, as well as being oversize, will not fit into the "eye" pieces.
You should replace the cables with twisted wire of diameter 0.6mm (1/40 inch). As for the length of the wire; when the "eyes" sit on the engine deck as shown in the photo, you have the appropriate length.
