About this detail of the Tiger
Some of the tool stowage on this kit, as specified in the instructions, is correct for the decal option "231" but is wrong for the headline option "Tiki", which was an earlier version of the Tiger.
The instructions tell you to store the starter handle on the lower rear wall. But in fact "Tiki" had nothing stored here and no clips for storage.
"Tiki" didn't have a shovel stored on the front (glacis) plate. It was supposed to have one, but the crewmen of "Das Reich" simply didn't like carrying a shovel.
What they did put here, was a portion of the starter handle. This is a photo of "Tiki" itself.
