Tamiya Early Tigers : rear hook on hull
There was a protrusion with a hole in the rear of the hull side plate, for attaching hooks and tow ropes. In the Tamiya kit, it has a small lip at the bottom.
But this lip was not added until February 1944 [1] . You should remove the lip from both sides of the kit.
