Smoke Grenades
The smoke grenades are well known from photos, but it's difficult to see how the electric lead is brought into the turret. These details of Tiger 250122 in Bovington make the technique plain to see.

In the photo above, a stowage box has been removed from the wall during restoration of the vehicle. A thick rubber sleeve is used for the final few inches of the lead because, of course, all holes in the Tiger's shell had to be waterproofed. The vertical metal strips in this photo are for the loader's kit box.

The launcher pots are 160mm long and 100mm wide.
